2024-2025<\/em>

At a time of chronic drought, in a few years’ time, the landscapes of southern France will be Spanish. Drive-in Pool is a thought-provoking project of landscape anticipation, combining a film of a Spanish desert with video performances in vertical roadside pools. In the basins, I’ll be projecting a film of the Spanish Monegros desert, named after the ancient pine and fir forests that once covered it. The pool and the aura of the desert become entangled, like a paradoxical injunction. The advertiser becomes prophetic, the symbolic object becomes a reflective sculpture. The video performance is like a wild drive-in, transforming the landscape, disturbing our perception of reality and raising the question of our limits. Drive-in pool raises questions about the possibility of the desert as a future\u2026
